A 1905 Library of Congress postcard shows Edgewood Park as an established destination. The image preserves a landscaped gathering place from a period when parks and excursion sites offered relief from the industrial city.
Places for Families and Neighbors
Later recreation stories include municipal parks, youth sports, and Doodle Bug Park. Each created a different kind of shared space, from organized play to summer amusement rides.
