The Shamokin High School Alumni Association organized on May 2, 1884, at the North Shamokin Street home of A. G. Shissler. The anniversary account establishes the date, place, and organization, while the broader school-building chronology remains unsettled.
Scholarships Across Generations
The association’s commemorative history dates a Scholarship Fund to 1922 and development of a Scholarship Trust Fund to 1947. Those milestones show alumni support becoming an enduring educational project without implying an amount, recipient list, or uninterrupted annual award that has not otherwise been established.
