The map uses the City of Shamokin municipal boundary, present-day OpenStreetMap streets and waterways, ten documented places, and 7 documented railroad features. It shows Shamokin Creek and the city’s actual street orientation.
Current rail comes from authoritative federal map data. The historic yard track is shown only for the dated 1969 USGS map; it does not establish opening, closing, or abandonment dates. Streetcar routes, mines, directory addresses, and Sanborn-sheet geometry remain omitted.
